To transfer photos and videos to a new Android phone, you can use several methods:

1. Using Google Photos

Google Photos automatically syncs your photos and videos to the cloud if you have backups enabled.

  • On your old phone, open Google Photos and ensure that Backup & Sync is turned on:
    • Go to Settings > Backup & Sync and toggle it on.
    • Wait until all your photos and videos are uploaded.
  • On your new phone, install Google Photos and sign in with the same Google account.
  • Your photos and videos will sync automatically.

2. Using a USB Cable

You can transfer files manually using a USB cable and your computer.

  • Connect your old phone to your computer via USB cable.

  • On your old phone, select File Transfer mode (if prompted).

  • Copy the DCIM folder (where photos and videos are stored) from your old phone to your computer.

  • Disconnect the old phone and connect your new phone to the computer.

  • Transfer the DCIM folder to your new phone.

3. Using a File Transfer App (Samsung Smart Switch, etc.)

If both phones are Samsung, or if you're using a compatible app, you can use a transfer tool.

  • Install an app like Samsung Smart Switch on both phones.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your photos, videos, and other data.

4. Using a MicroSD Card

If both phones have MicroSD card slots, you can use the card for transfer.

  • Insert the MicroSD card into your old phone and move your photos and videos onto it.
  • Eject the card and insert it into your new phone.
  • Access the files from the MicroSD card on your new phone.

5. Using Bluetooth

For a small number of photos and videos, you can transfer them via Bluetooth.

  • Enable Bluetooth on both phones and pair them.
  • Select the files to send, then choose Send via Bluetooth.
  • Accept the transfer on the new phone.

6. Using Cloud Storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)

Upload your photos and videos to a cloud service.

  • On your old phone, upload the media to a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox.
  • On your new phone, install the app for the cloud service and download the files.
