You must:
Be registered with SHA
Be informally employed (not in formal employment)
Have completed means testing and received your premium amount
Have repaid any defaulted Hustler Fund Personal or Bridge Loan
Make payments for all SHA arrears plus the next 4 months' premium
5. Any interest or hidden costs?
No fees or charges.

Or dial *254#, select Hustler Fund, then LIPA POLE POLE
7. How long does the plan last?
2 years.
8. Will I be able to borrow Hustler Fund loans?
Yes. Enrollment does not block access to Hustler Fund loans.
Enrolment and Contribution
9. What if I don’t have enough M-PESA balance during enrolment?
The process will fail. You’ll get a notification and can try again after topping up.
10. How can I make monthly payments after the upfront 4 months?
11. What happens if I stop making payments before 2 years?
Your SHA cover will be interrupted. You must clear arrears before resuming.
Opt Out
12. Can I opt out?
Yes. You can opt out anytime after paying your current contributions.
13. What happens to my SHA cover after opting out?
Your plan ends. You must pay full contributions through other means to keep your cover active.

14. How do I create a Standing Order?
You’ll set it up during enrollment.

16. Do I need to enter my PIN for scheduled payments?
No. Only during enrollment or if changing your schedule.
17. How will I know if payment was successful?
You’ll get a confirmation message. If it fails, you’ll get a failed payment notification.
18. What if I don’t have enough funds for a scheduled payment?
The system retries a few times the same day. If still unsuccessful, you must pay manually via *147# or *254#.
